It's been pretty busy around here as usual. Clark Kent work is heavy and freelance is steady. I did go to a neighborhood crime watch meeting last week. I'm going to join and try to become a block captain.
In the meantime, last night we noticed about 6 cop cars right out front. Apparently, someone drove a truck into a house. crazy.
Here's the full scoop.
We also had our first sick baby and I caught the bug. it's mostly gone now. mostly.

Y'all got some crazy shit going down in your neighborhood!
No kidding. We sure have a few stories to tell. It was nice at the crime watch meeting to see about 50 neighbors who all felt the same way; frustrated, but optimistic.
And, I have to say, out of all the incidents we've seen, this one is more randomly being near us than the others. It started in Mesquite and could have landed anywhere.
Mr. Valdez: "...so he [the cop] gives me a flashlight, and we go in pursuit."
That's some fine police work there, Lou.
Who needs the police when Mr Valdez, in his tank top and bluetooth ear piece, is chasing down criminals. That guy is hardcore.
He is hardcore bro. :) but in a good way. He has two kids and I think it's really to him about protecting his.
One time there was a couple who left their car in front of our house (after I told them to stop fighting and get the fuck away, "we dialed 9-1-1") and that neighbor rolls up in a Winnebago, I swear to God, all lights blaring and he jumps out with what looks like a rifle.
Turns out it was a BB gun, but it had the effect and it felt very zombie outbreak time, travel in a camper like "The Walking Dead" kind of. :)
oh and then two cops roll up and the neighbor was friends with the first one. when the second one rolled up, the first cop said to the neighbor, You put put that away before he gets the wrong idea." And he threw the BB gun in the camper. I think he mentioned it didn't even work anyway.
The car was towed away.
